Summary/Abstract: The paper will analyze the impact of the Neretva flood from 2013 on the election cycle in Metković. Since the similar research has been conducted in Germany and the Czech Republic, it will be determined the extent to which the flood affected local elections by analyzing election results in polling stations and parts of the city affected by floods with those who did not vote. negative consequences of rising Neretva water levels. Based on available data, it will also be investigated to what extent the natural disaster that struck Metković just before the 2013 elections affected voter turnout. Two hypotheses about turnout and impact on election results will be set to be tested by a chi-square test.
