Summary/Abstract: The growing popularity of shadow banking makes it a subject of research by financial institutions or scientific papers. Is this banking safe or does it carry serious risks? The paper discusses the relationship between supply and one form of banking, namely shadow banking. The article also analyses their mutual influence. It presents the characteristics of this form of banking, its position on the Polish market, as well as what it brings, benefits and risks.
