Summary/Abstract: The pandemic process, which more than half of the world's population has faced, has brought along a series of measures that can prevent the spread of Covid-19. When the measures taken are examined at the micro level, it is seen that there are prominent practices in the business activities of the institutions and the change of the working environment. Remote working method has been adopted as the working order, which has become widespread in the Covid-19 period. Despite the positive reception of the advantages of the method by the employees, the emergence of its negative aspects also caused some disruptions in the work-life balance of the employees. For this reason, the deterioration in the work-life balance has led to changes in the emotions, thoughts, attitudes and behaviors of the employees. The point where the most changes were observed was in employee motivation. The occurrence of factors that can affect employee motivation has brought along some difficulties in workflows and in achieving the goals of institutions. In this direction, the study investigated the changes in work patterns, disruptions in work-life balance and the effects of these two situations on employee motivation during the Covid-19 period. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the remote working system and work-life balance have effects on the motivation of the employees by making use of the comparisons of various studies.
