Summary/Abstract: ObjectivesThe aim of the paper is to identify the changes in the approach to supply chain management in the pandemic eraMaterial and methodsThe discussion is based on the analysis of source materials, including industry reports, as well as the presentation of modern methods of supply chain management based on author’s practical experience.ResultsThe global economy functions at present in a period of dynamic changes resulting from deep structural changes, high frequency of crises, including the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as technological progress and broadly understood digital transformation. These challenges require measures to adapt to changing conditions, although it is not always successful and it is possible. An example of a pandemic-induced supply chain disruption has had profound implications for producers and consumers around the World. It turned out that enterprises were not flexible enough to manage this new situation.ConclusionsThe supply chain of the future will need to be agile, flexible, efficient, resilient and digitally networked for improved visibility. New methods and tools are being rapidly developed and broadly applied.
