Possibilities of Using the Solver Add-in to Optimize Logistics Tasks - Case Studies

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to show the possibility of using the Solver add-in to optimize many logistics processes. Three different cases were presented, which concerned: determining the optimal route, allocation of a logistics facility and minimization of transport costs. Each of the analyzed situations has been enriched with a theoretical description of the problem in order to minimize the risk of understanding this publication as a set of disconnected issues. The whole was written based on the author’s experience, Polish and English-language literature.
