Summary/Abstract: The subject of the analysis is the relationship of love and responsibility in terms of pedagogical axiology. The nature of the human person is the foundation and source of both values. Love and responsibility, while differing from each other, have common elements in terms of their object of action (God, man), their content (the good), they are similar in the dynamics of development, gradualism and have a dialogical character. At the same time, they occur in specific relationships: ontic (love does not exist without responsibility) and developmental (the maturity of love is directly proportional to the development of responsibility). The connections and dependencies between the two values imply the necessity of simultaneous and skilful education to love and responsibility, which to a large extent determine the integral development of the pupil, his humanity and maturity. This is an important task for the educator, whose activity should be characterized by love and educational responsibility.
