Summary/Abstract: A crisis is an unplanned process, the source of which may result from inside the organization or its environment. It is a series of events occurring at a certain period, destabilizing the company’s balance and its existence. A crisis situation is a condition that is the result of unfavorable events over time, which does not directly threaten the existence of an organization but sets a negative assessment of its activities resulting from the external environment and deviating from company’s internal standards. The assessment of the phenomena of the crisis is to indicate its sources and the reasons for its occurrence. The purpose of the article is to identify the sources of the crisis through research and analysis aimed at early detection of threats and the implementation of appropriate corrective measures to counteract the occurring situations. The study was based on a company from the carpentry industry.
