Summary/Abstract: Obituary of the famous Byzantine scholar, professor of St. Petersburg State University Galina Evgenyevna Lebedeva. Galina Evgenyevna worked at the Leningrad–St. Petersburg University more than 60 years. She graduated many students. Galina Evgenievna studied the socio-economic history of Byzantium, the problems of the transition from Antiquity to the Middle Ages, the history of Byzantine studies in Russia and the USSR.
