ANALYSIS OF SOME OF THE MAIN FACTORS INFLUENCING THE SELECTION OF A SATELLITE ANTENNA

Summary/Abstract: Gain factor is one of the main factors we consider when choosing a satellite antenna. In this paper a brief introduction is made to the main parameters of satellite antennas and their frequency dependence and dependence on the antenna design characteristics. Data from known manufacturers of such antennas are used and example calculations are given. Based on this, an analysis of the influence of these factors on the performance is made. Conclusions and recommendations are made.
