One way of a more extensive research of various tourism impacts allowing for the processing and analysis of big massifs of spatial information is the tourism impacts evaluation done by the local population. The present research aims to analyse tourism impacts in the eight national resorts in Bulgaria. The research methodology is based on the possibility to have tourism impacts evaluation made by different subjects. In this case the evaluation is done by the local population. The local residents’ attitude towards tourism impacts and its evaluation is investigated with the help of a written standard anonymous questionnaire distributed among the local population in the municipalities Sozopol, Primorsko, Dobritch, Burgas, Varna, Smolyan and Samokov where the national resorts are situated. It is developed on the basis of a profound investigation of questionnaires published in the international scientific literature, at the same time paying attention to the specific characteristics of Bulgarian population. Research findings allow for the formulation of conclusions and recommendations in the future about the measurement and analysis of tourism impacts in seaside and mountain tourism destinations in Bulgaria.
