Summary/Abstract: A figure of St. Arsenije, the second Serbian archbishop, is shown as a part of the illustration for 28 October in the painted calendar of the Church of Christ Pantokrator in the Dečani Monastery, as evidenced by the remnants of an accompanying inscription and the distinctive iconography of the image. As the only surviving example of depicting a Serbian saint in medieval menologion cycles, this hereto unidentified image is of special importance, since it suggests a need to reexamine the question of the representation of cults of Serbian saints in medieval painted calendars.
