Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the outline of theological foundations of dialogue between christianity and other religions. It originates from God’s revelation: the act of creation (patrilogical foundations), the incarnation of the Son of God (christological foundations) as well as the presence and actions of the Holy Spirit in the Church and the world (pneumatological foundations). Furthermore, the article presents the contribution of the Second Vatican Council and the involvement of St. John Paul II into the work of interreligious dialogue.
