Intonation Patterns of Forms of Address in Oral Communication

Summary/Abstract: Intonation plays a key role in all communication. In this article, we proceed to the analysis of address marks in two different communicative situations with the same speaker. These two communicative situations fall into the category of political speech. The first case is the debate between the presidential candidates and the second case is a flash spot of the President of the Republic. Our objective is to see whether or not these intonative patterns represent a highlighting of the message conveyed in this corpus.
