Summary/Abstract: Gheorghe Şincai’ presence at Târgu-Mureş is confirmed by documents in only two moments of his life. The first moment is connected to his educational preparation at Colegiul Reformat. He will gain one of his teachers affection - Kovásnai Toth Sándor - a very educated man, who will influence Şincai’ s life and career. The second cathegory of documents are refering to Şincai’ s trials that took place at Târgu-Mureş. There were three trials: the first was between Şincai and his old enemies - The bishop Ion Bob, Ion Pop, the bishop’ s brother-inlaw and Alexandru Gyutio; the second was against Ion Szatmari, the land agent of Şincai’ s estate, and the last one was against the inn-keeper Pfenningsdorf. Unfortunatelly, Şincai will loose all those trials because of the authorities that considered the proofs as being insufficient. In this way, Şincai will loose his money, his estates and, more than that, his familly affection.
