Summary/Abstract: In 2008, in Minsk, at the Department of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Belarus, was founded a new ongoing edition: «Studies in the History of Eastern Europe» («Studia Historica Europae Orientalis»). The Editorial Board included scientists from Belarus, Russia, Germany, Poland. The aim of the publication was to bring together scientists, medievalists who were researching the history of the Eastern European region in the Middle Ages and early modern period. Five editions came out between 2008 and 2012 in which were published about 88 articles of scientists from Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, Ukraine and Germany. The main part of the articles related to the period between 16th and 17th centuries. Most of the published material was dedicated to the studies of the historical sources of Western Europe, as well as the international relations of that region and the political history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The articles also present texts on the history of the Church and culture of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, as well as socioeconomic history. Overall, the project can be considered as valid and successful. As asuggestion, it may be abvised to expand the unit of reviews and increasing the number of foreign authors.
