Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to consider the effects of the Covid 19 restraint measures on Portuguese Civil Procedural Law. In particular, it analyses why Civil Procedure has been affected by the Covid 19 restraint measures and the effects of those measures on ongoing proceedings and on final judgements. In the conclusion, the relationship between the Civil Procedure and the Rule of Law is considered.
