Summary/Abstract: The triad Micu-Şincai-Maior certainly represents the most important period of the Transylvanian Enlightenment. We choose this triad, instead of adding some other representatives of Transylvanian Enlightenment, because they are closely related to each other, not only in their activity, but also in particular life: they have followed the same cursus honorum, studying and teaching at Blaj, at Vienna and finally working as censors and correctors of Romanian books at the typography from Buda. Therewith, the influence of their works upon social and cultural evolution cannot be questioned. This study does not deal with the importance of the works they have written; its goal is to offer a review over their books that can be found at Mureş County Library. There are 15 books, published between 1780-1853, each of them having specific features. In presenting the works, we have chosen two main criteria: the authors and the chronology. Thus, the first author is Samuil Micu, who’ s name appears on six books: three times as single author, two times as co-author and once as translator (Biblia de la Blaj, 1795). The best represented is Petru Maior; he wrote four books, but each of them is kept in more than one copy (there are, for example, three copies of Istoria pentru începutul românilor în Dachia, two copies of the first edition - Buda, 1812 and one of the second edition, 1834). The last author presented is Gheorghe Şincai, because his work, Hronica românilor was first published in 1853. But his name also appears on Elementa…, published at Vienna at 1805. In presenting the books, we have highlighted all the information that customize them: physical aspect, conservation stage, hand writing annotations, date and place of aquisition, price and other details.
