Summary/Abstract: The paper reviews and discusses a series of researches and data having as main topic the children’s use of internet with a special focus on risks associated with online activities. Taking into account the results and classifications resulted from a recent cross-national survey, as well as definitions and dimensions generally accepted in the field of risk research, the article outlines and presents some of the methodological issues which should be considered in order to improve the validity and reliability of the internet and online risks researches.
