Summary/Abstract: The political-linguistic project known as “Stojan Novakovic’s Macedonism” was in fact a new appearance of the Serbian educational propaganda in Ottoman Macedonia, emphasized by the introducing of the Macedonian vernacular language in the Serbian textbooks, which were meant for the Macedonian Slavic population. The idea for this type of a project came out of pragmatic reasons with Stojan Novakovic. These reasons provoked an increased battle against the strong Bulgarian propaganda throughout Macedonia. As a scientist, Stojan Novakovic, stood behind the evolutionary methods of the Serbian propaganda in Ottoman Macedonia. Those methods were supposed to accomplish a double goal: penetration of the Serbian culture in the Macedonian ethnic group and gaining of a special legislative base in the Ottoman millet-system for the Serbian educational and church organizations.
