МАТЕЈА МАТЕВСКИ ВО СЛОВАЧКИОТ КНИЖЕВЕН И КУЛТУРЕН КОНТЕКСТ
MATEJA MATEVSKI IN SLOVAKIAN LITERARY AND CULTURAL CONTEXT

Summary/Abstract: The subject of this text is reception of poetry of famous Macedonian poet Mateja Matevski in Slovakian literary and cultural context. The poetry of Mateja Matevski has been interpreted in Slovakia until today as an synecdoche of Macedonian contemporary poetry. The first Slovakian translations of poems of Mateja Matevski was realised in year 1968 and after that his poetry is permanently present in Slovakian literary and cultural area. In Slovak language was published also two books of his poetry, which was prepared by František Lipka in year 1985 and by Igor Hochel in year 2011. Mateja Matevski is the only Macedonian poet with european and world reputation, who obtained the great Slovak literary prize „Jan Smrek“ on year 2010.
