Summary/Abstract: The subject of this study is the green economy, green growth and greening as a concept introduced to the economy in order to maintain the environmental protection, biodiversity and to prevent the climate changes. These concepts implemented in the European Union are called the European Green Deal. All the green concepts are connected with the paradigm of the sustainable development and they become the form of the sustainable development execution in the developed strategies. This study is based on the subject literature and the documents created by United Nations agencies, international institutions and organizations as well as the European Union authorities. The notions of green economy, green growth and green deal are especially important for the sectors of economy that are based on natural resources - agriculture, forestry, fishing and mining. The greening means taking care of nature and the ecosystems in the economy and social life, especially in the territorial systems with a high concentration of the population and industry. The green concepts of the sustainable development implementation require investment and educational support. The green concepts of development embrace many ambitious assumptions and thus they can be considered too optimistic.
