Summary/Abstract: This work is dedicated to eleven spurs kept in the fund of the National Archaeological Institute with Museum in Sofia (NAIM BAS-Sofia). They are deposited in the museum’s fund as purchases or donations, so in most cases they cannot be linked to a secure context. They are representatives of the two main classes among the spurs, according to their working part, namely those with a spike and a rowel. The spurs with a spike are represented by only one specimen (ill. 1, cat. № 1). The spur dates back to the period of the 10th-11th century. The other ten artifacts discussed in this paper are spurs with rowels (ill. 2-11, cat. № 2-11). They cover the chronological period from the middle of the 13th to the beginning of the 17th century.
