Summary/Abstract: An epitaph with part of a poem by Neophytos Prodromenos inscribed to commemorate Theodoros Goudeles was discovered during restoration works in Pantokrator monastery in Istanbul. It is rare to find an example of Byzantine literature written on stone. The late 14th century piece provides important information about the Goudeles family as well as Pantokrator monastery.
