Summary/Abstract: According to statistics, which is a cause for concern, a big part of the adolescent and adult life is spent in the light of monitors, which tend to replace human beings, even the dearest members of the family, leaving room for the digital loneliness and “emptiness” to settle in. Research has found that teenagers are the most “fierce” media users. They are the most avid consumers of television and music and, at the same time, the most receptive to the use of digital technology and its continuous upgrades. They are “digital natives” and spend more time in front of screens than doing anything else: school, sports, family, even sleep. These scientific findings demonstrate the need for media education, parental supervision and control, as well as a proactive technology education of the parents.
