Summary/Abstract: Parish church in Volodymyr-Volynskyi was built in the half of the 16th century, as a wooden and brick structure which was burnt three times: in 1736, 1800, and 1833. The church was ministered by Capuchin friars from 1751, who lived in a convent built near the church soon afterward. When the convent was closed by the tsarist authority in 1832 during post-uprising repression, the parish was ministered by diocesan clergy. It survived the difficult times of World War II. In 1958 it was suppressed by communists. The church returned to its rightful owners - the Catholics at the beginning of 1992. It has been ministered by priests of the Order of the Brothers of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel, called Calced Carmelites to the present day.
