Summary/Abstract: Parallels in the works of Max Frisch and Friedrich Dürrenmatt, German-speaking writers of Swiss literature from the World Literature series, this study. Issues such as the desire of both writers to change the world, ways to save the world, their attitude to the problems of society were analyzed from different aspects. Similar qualities, such as the problem of personality, the rejection of the elements dictated by society and access to the inner world of man have been considered in the works of both Max Frisch and Friedrich Dürrenmatt. Both writers advocated for the right of people to freedom, regardless of whether the society was archaic or digital, totalitarian or democratic. Otherwise, the return of "Old Lady" to the city is inevitable. At the same time, the ability of both Max Frisch and Friedrich Dürrenmatt to describe landscapes from their biographies in figurative language and turn their lives into works of art was highly appreciated by critics.
