Summary/Abstract: Informing the community about the work of an institution is done mostly through the media. Public information process implies the involvement of the three participants: organisation, media, public opinion. The Press Office's mission is to promote and maintain a good cooperation with the representatives of mass media, with the aim of providing a flow of information to the general public, so as to create and develop a favourable image of the structures within which it operates. A good spokeswoman is one who has detailed knowledge of the work of the Organization, knowing the audience. The working tools of the Press Office are press file and press dossier. Public information techniques used are: news releases, press release, article, letter of invitation, press campaign, interview, press conference, briefing, working visits.
