Consolidating the Librarian’s Association in the Republic of Moldova by Leadership and Competence

Summary/Abstract: The article describes the results and lessons learned after the implementation of the project „Straightening LAM institutional capacity.” The author underlines the importance of the Policy and Procedural Manual that was developed, as a project activity and how it helped to bridge communication between LAM Council members and leaders. This assisted LAM Council members and twenty LAM leaders to gain confidence in their professional abilities and meet professionals who are already involved in LAM service. The article exemplifies how twenty committed and motivated leaders from across the country have benefited from a solid foundation of skills and strategies through trainings in the appropriate subject areas (fundraising, project management etc.) that helped LAM expand the capacity of the next generation of leaders.
