Summary/Abstract: All the libraries functioning in Finland try to keep up with the new requirements of the users and of the new information era, aiming to achieve: the provision of services at a professional level within the framework of public libraries upgraded.This paper also present a case study of a library in Finland: the Oulu Province Library.
