In the defense of the borders of the Bosnian eyalet, the Zvornik captaincy and its captains had a prominent place. The Zvornik captains came from the famous Zvornik Bey family Fidahic. The aim of this paper is to investigate, describe and emphasize the role of the Zvornik captaincy, from its founding to its abolition in 1834/1835. and its Fidahic captains, who were participants in all the most important events on the territory of the Zvornik Sandzak and the Bosnian eyalet during the 18th and the first half of the 19thcentury.
