The current issues of the Russia and France collaboration in the sphere of the State archives.

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the problems of archival cooperation between Russia and France. The problem of the World War II displaced archives is yet unsolved. Introduction of a new Federal law prohibits further unilateral restitution of records from the Russian Special Archive to France and contributes to mutually beneficial relations.
