Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of research concerning the quality oflife of older people over 60 and the level of acceptance of the loss ofhearing performance by seniors. The research was aimed at identifyingand determining the relationship between the acceptance of the lossof proper hearing and the quality of life of seniors with difficultiesin hearing. The subject of the research was the quality of life and therelationship between the quality of life and the sense of acceptance ofthe loss of hearing performance in people over 60 years of age. Theresearch took the form of a diagnostic survey using the questionnairetechnique (WHOQOL-BREF – Short Version of the Quality-of-Life Survey;Multidimensional Acceptance Scale of Hearing Difficulties; ScreeningTest with TSOS battery). The article presents theoretical issues relatedto the quality of life of older people with hearing difficulties, withthe methodological basis of this research being presented. The resultsfrom the conducted research are presented at the end of the articleand a number of conclusions for subsequent activities in the field ofpedagogy are drawn. It was found that the higher the acceptance levelof the loss of correct hearing, the higher the quality of life of the surveyedseniors. The research shows the need to conduct various activitiesaimed at supporting seniors with hearing difficulties in their psychosocialfunctioning. It is necessary to raise social awareness in areas connectedwith the quality of life of older people with hearing difficulties.
