Summary/Abstract: In article the Soviet-Swedish relations in the late 1950s are considered in the context of North Europe regional problems. Special attention is drawn to the visit of N. S. Hrushchev to Stockholm, cancelled in August 1959, and to difference in estimation of that situation by the Soviet embassy in Sweden and Soviet Foreign Affairs Ministry management.
