Summary/Abstract: Basing on rare and hard-to-reach archive documents, authors describe the case of F. E. Mikheev, executive officer of Leningrad region and city AUCP(b) committee, that was a part of the “Leningrad affair”. The article, focused on the particularities of F. E. Mikheev’s case, also analyzes the mechanism of the “Leningrad affair” and shows some traits, common to different cases of that affair.
