A brief look at the US and Russia's construction of regional security systems in Europe

Summary/Abstract: Too often, we hear comparisons that may seem biased or politically motivated between the actions of the United States of America and those of Russia to build regional security architectures in Europe. Too often, agents of influence try to accredit the idea that there is a legal and moral equivalence between the modes of operation of these actors, and that the states concerned may be indifferent which of these powers predominantly exerts influence over them, because the results , in terms of development, prosperity and security would be the same.
