Summary/Abstract: The current article is devoted to one of the notable facts of the Russian Civil War of 1918–1920 — a “travel” of the Nicolas Academy of the General Staff (AGSh) from Ekaterinburg to Kazan’ (July 23–24, 1918). Firstly, the author makes an effort to prove the “unplanned character” of the “transition” of AGSh from “The Reds” to “The Whites” in August 1918. Secondly, the complete number of lecturers-genshtabists in the Red Army was more considerable than number in the Army of Admiral Kolchak in spite of loss part of the Academic Staff by the “Reds”. Thirdly, author looks through the destinies of some people who taught at the AGSh by the different stages of the period 1918–1920.
