Summary/Abstract: The site of Slatina in the vicinity of the town of Paraćin (Serbia), in the valley of Velika Morava River, was a large Neolithic settlement, with substantial remains attributed to the Late Neolithic Vinča culture. Rescue excavations were carried out between 1962 and 1964 and 1984– 1985, and among other rich and diverse remains of structures and portable finds, approximately 80 artefacts from osseous raw materials were recovered. The typological repertoire included awls, heavy points, burnishing tools and used astragals, produced from bone and antler. The bone tool assemblage shares common traits with other assemblages from the Vinča culture, but also displays some of the local characteristics, in particular regarding the raw material management.
