Summary/Abstract: The article is a critical analysis of the book by Wojciech Józef Burszta, Paweł Dobrosielski,Krzysztof Jaskułowski, Katarzyna Majbroda, Piotr Majewski, Michał Rauszer titled Nation atSchool: History and Nationalism in Polish School Education (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Katedra,Gdańsk 2019). The author points out the importance of the subject of historical educationundertaken by the research team led by Burszta. She discusses methodology, highlightingthe combination of qualitative and quantitative research used in the research and analysis. Theauthor also analyses the general approach to the issue of historical education, mainly onthe basis of the structure of the book. She completes the article with the indication of thepublication’s strengths as well as the omitted aspects, such as the lack of a summary. Shenegatively assesses the lack of guidelines for educational policy makers and experts in thefield of education that could lead to the improvement of education. The review article endswith a recommendation of the book.
