Summary/Abstract: The object of this research will be the legend from Samokov, about the tomb of the “last” Bulgarian ruler, Tsar Ivan Shishman, for whom, the regional memory assigns post mortem cohabitation in a sepulcher with the unknown Kasăm Baba. At the local level it “produces” traditions and cults of Christians and Muslims, which activate the myth of “kidnapped faith”.
