On the Question of Ancient Greek Heritage in the History of World Linguistics

Summary/Abstract: The focus of the study is on the legacy of ancient Greek philosophers and grammarians in the history of linguistics. As is well known; many of the problems that still concern linguists to this day began to be discussed in antiquity; and they are associated with the names of the philosophers Socrates; Plato; Aristotle; and many others. There is no doubt that ancient Greece is one of the cradles of modern linguistics.
