Summary/Abstract: In urban space, there are several architectural orders. Some of them remind us of the images in comic books. Writers and illustrators of comic books often refer to artificiality and fantasy. They produce the ‘impossible reality’. In urban space, there are elements of comic books. The Gotham City reminds us of the real atmosphere in big urban agglomerations. ‘Micropolis’ by Dennis Wojda and Krzysztof Gawronkiewicz shows poetic and dream-like urban space which includes many elements of contemporary cities.
