Summary/Abstract: I knew before that we had Hungarian ancestors, but nothing more. When the first Esterházy ceremony was held in Budapest, in the Hungarian Parliament [on the 100th anniversary of the birth of János Esterházy in 2001], I travelled to Hungary with my father and he told me the story of our family. That was the first time. When I asked him why he had never talked about it before, he said it was such a trauma that he never wanted to go back to it.
