Summary/Abstract: The initial part of this paper deals with the general consideration from positive legislation of administrative supervision in Bosnia and Herzegovina as one of the functions of state organs. It is especially emphasized the inspection as the most important form of administrative control, which has found its reflection in the legislative regulations. In the next part of the paper is shown in primary indications regulations in BiH of inspection system. Accentuated the legislative practice, which is tantamount to abandoning the special laws on certain types of inspections and enforcement on the systematic and complex laws of the unique arrangement of the largest number of inspections. This process is initiated in 2005 and it is still ongoing. It is characteristic of the legislation in the entities and BD, because it is evident that the level of BiH held earlier way of settling certain inspections, which are, as a rule, tantamount to predicting specific provisions on inspections as in material, so also in the organizational laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina on certain administrative areas. This regulation is usually quite modest given the responsibility of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Dayton Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, the regulation of inspection in shown wider in relation to the entity legislation and regulation BDBiH this area.The third part of the paper refers to point out the specific organization of inspections of entities and BD, with special emphasis on the functional principle of organization of supervision, as opposed to the principles of the line that is still dominant in organizing the administration at higher levels of government. It is an object of interest also in the next part of the paper. Formally, the inspection authorities are autonomous administrative bodies. However, they are de facto authorities of the entity governments and the Government of BDBiH. In the final conclusions it is attempted to draw attention to some issues in the domain of this segment of the administrative system of the entities in BDBiH.
