Summary/Abstract: František Schwarz (1891–1947) was one of the principal critics of the adoption of the Munich Agreements and the emerging totalitarian system of the so-called Second Republic. He joined the foreign resistance just a few weeks after the German occupation had started, and spent most of the war in Great Britain, yet his life ended in a Pankrác prison cell a year before the communist coup d’état, in February 1947.
