Summary/Abstract: At the age of 102, Miroslav Zikmund died at the end of last year, a traveller whose name was usually associated with that of his long-time travelling companion Jiří Hanzelka. Yet one of his first journeys he took alone. At the age of 26, he accompanied a transport of Czech prisoners from the Flossenbürg concentration camp on their journey home in May 1945. Thirty years later, he got back in touch with his protégés of the time.
