Summary/Abstract: This study comes to face the approach of a left aside and frequently wrong belief about the generation, whose actions alone can explain the most pointed public figures and events across history. The last references about the generation have a tendency to land as a conflict line between the generations. In the collective mind, the generation receives the main meaning and purpose of a "change", due mainly to one’s striving for an exhaustive sense of freedom, along with the scientist spirit. Now the transition of the generations leaves in between them a gap, the younger generation splits from the previous one leaving it behind as outdated, without putting up an effort to find common grounds as to grow and outgrow each other in a constructive way. The young, named in part, or collectively - the young generation, seeks for a total renewal of the society, crossing even the spiritual bonds that thrived for generations. What seems old, or once belonged to the previous generation, is no longer valid or taken into consideration, for it contradicts the „new spirit”, the social action that has developed the habit of repealing, yet failing to offer a viable alternative of the contested, abolished truth. The issue in debate is not necessarily the disposal of a new generation from the system of values of its predecessors, but its expressed presence in a spiritual framework, having for comparison the criteria gathered from the succeeding generations along the social history of modern Romania.
