Summary/Abstract: The relationship between Confucianism and Feminism should be reconsidered in the light of the entire socio-political context of the time. At the beginning, the Masters of Confucianism did not explicitly put women in a subordinate position, and in a patriarchal and highly hierarchical society, not only women but all members had their fixed and clear roles. The flourishing of the didactic literature for women in a period of vigorous thriving of Neo-Confucianism was also a sign for the gradually growing power of women.
