Pedagogical counseling as a tool of a social worker in the field of work with children and families

Summary/Abstract: The current article focuses on the resources of pedagogical counseling, through the psychoanalytic paradigm, to achieve the well-being of children and families facing the difficulties of upbringing and education. The presented model includes the main essential characteristics of the consultation, outlining the components of its implementation at the national level. The key role of the social worker is defined, who, in the complex system of social services, can be both a mediator and a consultant. Emphasis is also placed on the family, family dynamics, understanding of the child, the relationship with professionals.
