Summary/Abstract: The paper underline the need for inspections that „ should be a stimulus for the creative activity" of the teachers. The school inspection should be carried out by specialized teachers „ who have proven to have pedagogic knowledge and talent". Between 1905 and 1916, school inspections were carried out by teachers Elena Cancicov and Izabela Sadoveanu (daughters ofBacău City), Adela Dimitriu and Maria Beiu-Palade, school inspectors from the Ministry of Public Training and revisers of the School Board Bacău. The paper presents reference aspects in detail.
