Summary/Abstract: Religious diversity became the norm for many Western democracies. However, they face many challenges in addressing religious minorities’ needs. For this reason, this article aims to explore the accommodation of religious diversity, highlighting how it has been addressed so far, as well as to identify the main challenges. Drawing on religious diversity data and the secularization thesis, the article points out the relationship between the state and the church, and the Church’s influence on state responses to religious diversity management. It concludes that although the accommodation is possible it requires more effective actions to be achieved.
